Just watched the first 3 episodes of this new Ed Burns, David Simon mini series and must say it is rather good. Go get it.

It has wire like character depth and hard hitting dialogue. Most enjoyable.

Anyone else dig?

Watched the first episode and found it a little hard to get on with (just difficult to keep up with who all the characters are, plus the jargon can throw you off a little), although I’m sure that’s the case with all decent TV. Good stuff builds.

 

Was going to download the rest, but was told on various torrent sites that Big Brother was watching who was downloading, so thought I would give it a miss until such time as it was less hot.

 

I’ve heard it’s very good - and, as you say, it’s David Simon - so will deffo check it out in its entirety in the future.

I thought it was excellent. Don't think it had the depth of The Wire, as it would have ben impossible to do that in just 7 episodes.

The book is very good as well.

I've just finished watching it and thought it was good. It was a bit short and I hope they do a second season, but they probably wont seeing as The Corner was just as short.
