RiS has had a 'mare there, it's bringing into question his comedy credentials if I'm perfectly honest, as for the film, is this the best scene from a comedy ??, it may well be, it definitely up there...

I remember watching an edited version of that scene on BBC1 with all the profanity removed. It sounded like Steve Martin was having some sort of fit.

The Hurt Locker fantastic, It focuses on the very specific work of an American bomb disposal unit and favours nail-biting action over soul-searching angst.

The result is an almost unbearably tense journey into the front-line nightmare of the conflict.

Jeremy Renner gives the film's outstanding performance as Staff Sergeant William James, a reckless figure with a John Wayne swagger.

He has little patience for army protocols and almost seems possessed of a death wish in the way he is willing to put his life at risk.

The last weeks of his tour of duty are marked by a succession of situations where you can feel the sweat and sense the imminent danger.

A buried coil of wire leads to a nest of unexploded bombs.

This isn't a film that primarily questions the point of the war.

It is a film that offers an intense personal perspective on the reality of an adrenaline-rush existence lived in the full knowledge that every day could be your last, loved it 10/10.

Inglourious Basterds...got a copy off t'web. Was a good (not great) enjoyable romp. Brad Pitt cannot act. Quite gruesome and beautifullt filmed in places. A bozarre rewriting of history. The best actor was the Jew Hunter by a country mile.

6 camp Nazi uniforms out of 10

I can now safely ignore any opinion you ever have.

Nice to see that those that whinge and disagree with me have not produced a single shred of evidence to back up their opinions....

The evidence being the films he's been in, which he's been good in. Burn after reading, Fight Club, Seven and many more. He's far from abysmal in any of them.

Well lets consider this

Thelma and Louise...appalling

Kalifornia...made Juliet Lewis look good

Interview with the Vampire...stunk out even that crap film

Twelve Monkeys..of dear

The Devils Own..the worst Irish accent since Sean Connery in the Untouchables

Meet Joe Black...good impression of a lump of wood

Snatch...bad even by the usual standards of Ritchie's films

Friends...so bad he made the rest of these look competent

Oceans 11 and sequel...oh do fuck off

Troy...christ on a bike

Burn after Reading......poor, superficial performance

Inglorious Basterds...bad overacting and poor accent

Fight Club..same poor performance as Kalifornia

Honourable exception

Se7en....dragged up by a quality film

Brad Pitt cannot act.

Not only can he act but he is one of the finest, most underrated actors of his generation.

The best actor was the Jew Hunter by a country mile.

That's something I agree with. He was terrific and should do very well at the awards. Then again, it is blisteringly obvious that he was the best thing about the film.
