Well considering Serie A is filled to the brim with quality defenders and always has been (e.g. Maldini, Baresi, Stam, Thuram, Cafu, Zambrotta, Cannavaro etc) I'd say it should count the same.

 

Attackers get more time on the ball, especially in danger areas in that league though.

 

It's also taken a severe turn from the worse lately in terms of quality.
