Really short of cover now. 

Seems Lovren at least a few weeks, Gini could be similar and you'd have thought he would be next man up. No news on Matip or Fabinho. 

 

Wondering what happens now. 

Don't see Hendo, Milner playing there. Maybe Robbo in the WCC. 

 

Sepp van den Berg looks way off when I've seen him. Maybe Hoever but again might to top early. 

 

Does Nat Phillips have a recall in his loan to Stuttgart, he's not a starter for them all the time.

2 CB and no other cover I'd say that's a need mate. Can't rely on them staying fit or not getting a red card. Nothing can be done yet anyway.

Without Fabinho he's the only one that can do it. Did it away at Brighton last year. Not ideal and you wouldn't fancy it against Leicester or even Wolves coming up.

Henderson would have to play there if we were really struggling.

Klopp has excelled in these situations. Look at our defense against Bayern last year and our attack against Barcelona. It’s not luck either.

 

Would be interesting to see Milner there. He’d probably be a better goalkeeper than Karius too.

Wouldn't mind seeing Phillips recalled, if possible.  But Matip and Fabinho are both due back in January, if that's looking unlikey then we'd need to bring someone in. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if we stick with things as they are.

 

Not sure why Hoever is staying behind (if he's not carrying a knock I guess it's only them trying to restrict his playing and travel time considering he's had a mid-season international tournament).

 

Need something in place before the Spurs and Utd week. Of course if we get through the League Cup then we should try and resign Lucas and Klavan immediately.

Klopp's already said there'll be no centre backs coming in and he'll work with what he's got.

He has utter faith in the players he has, or they wouldn't be here.

Wijnaldum is probably the best option. Dont think Henderson can do it, would then rather look to Milner. Or possibly Firmino, he’s very strong one on one, fairly quick and decent in the air. Also used to play CB in his youth.

I would pay a King's ranson to watch Firmino play at centre back.
