Don’t agree, in hindsight. They’d still have beaten Spurs and might have been slightly more tired tonight, but that’s about it. If anything, they looked a bit rusty in the first half after the longish break.

On one hand, yeah, but I said a long time ago that second is perhaps a more meaningful achievement with the playing field as unbalanced as it is with City's infinite money and seemingly allowed non-adherence to FFP. They are where they are because they don't compete on the same terms, so I don’t think it’s fair to expect anyone to surpass them over the course of a league season. I just didn’t expect second to be reached on 94-97 points.
