There's a story that some bloke was trying to start some grief with him in a bar one night.  After trying to brush him off for a while, Bogie finally said "alright, outside now".  The bloke went outside in the pissy cold rain, waiting for Bogie to join him for a fight.  A few minutes later, he gave up and went back inside, where Bogie was waiting at the bar saying "You cooled down?  Have a drink."
