Are you taking the piss? This could have been 2-0 Spurs inside the first 5 minutes. And with decent finishing and Spurs keeping the pace up for 90m it would probably have gone to 6 or 7.

SD has a point there. Suarez was continually moaning at the officials today when he should have been digging deeper and helping the team out. His constant gesticulating at fellow team mates whenthe ball doesn't go where he wants it is starting to get at me too. He is a world class player but he needs to cut that shit out and get on with it.

Against Wolves, I want to see Gerrard, Lucas, Downing and Kuyt in midfield. I want Bellamy and Suarez up front. As for defence, Kelly, Skrtel, Carragher and Enrique. As ever, Reina in goals.

And he's kind of right. It's not that the squad is weaker, because it's alot better than it was in May, but Kenny's selections just do not seem to be on merit. Was Kuyt really no better striker for us last season than Carroll is? Was Maxi not better than Henderson? And I think Meireles is better than Adam.

 

Said it today already, we need to be ruthless. Make the right selections and our XI against Wolves will be miles better than anything we fielded last season.

You're spot on it is early days. I do have concerns though and it is the 442 with Lucas and Adam in the middle, year after year no matter who is in charge we see a stubbornness set in from managers even though something clearly isn't working they will persist and persist and cling to the few times it does pay off. I'm just praying we don't follow familiar patterns, it does feel like we have been stuck in a shitloop since 91 of hope realisation and despair on a weekly basis. Alongside the mancs its like god is fucking taunting me. All of us must feel it FFS same old same old.
