It's not fucking hard is it, back to basics. Have a black shirt no stupid grey stuff, like the red hasn't got any other distractions. It would have sold shedloads, I've not spoken to a person that liked it (the away top)

I think people will still buy it as they always seem to, maybe more will buy it than that 3rd strip in standard chartered colours from last season but it's an opportunity missed.

A lot of people are buying the new home kit that don't normally and they could have had the similar reaction with the same away shirt but without the fucking stupid grey bib, even the grey under arms would have been ok. Ah well, the 3rd strip is meant to be worse.

Looks ace as a wetsuit

Yeah I can see it flying off the shelves now and hordes of fans turning up at Anfiled looking like they are ready to go scuba diving ;)

The thing I don't understand is why the club persists with black/charcoal kits. Looking at our history with them makes for very uninspiring viewing. Only in 2007/08 (where black was the 3rd kit) did we have a season that looked promising and even then we finished 4th, a long way behind the top 3. Otherwise, we have had some pretty dreadful seasons when one of our kits was black/charcoal.

Seeing we have American owners, I think the league should go the way of NFL.

Am I correct that all teams in NFL, if they have to change colours, just have a white kit?

This would blow the whole cash cow market for kit sales.

I know there would be the argument of reduced income from kit sales, but it would be interesting to know the ratio of 2nd and 3rd kit sales against the home one.

Surely more sales/income comes from the red kit?

Of course my first point is tongue in cheek, but I would genuinely be interested how much money comes in from the change kits in the first place.
