But that's what's so great about penalties as match-deciders mate: it's about skill AND bottle; nerves and technique. It's the ultimate balancing act, and it explains why England have probably been so poor. Those are the two things this country's players lack the most.

Why should people have to support players they wouldn't piss on if they were on fire? I don't support Terry et al when they play for their clubs, I despise them. So I'm not going to support them because they pull on an England shirt and delude themselves that they're world beaters.

Neither do I, that's why I never 'told you to'. It's just weird to me that's all. Dickhead followers and other members of the team wouldn't bother me that much, so it's hard for me to figure out. And the fact the Stevie is captain makes the team mean a lot more to me, and I can push to negative parts aside a lot easier. I've not got a big problem with other people not liking the side though, it just gets boring when people go on and on about it.
