Didn't realise so many here had law degrees from Twitter University. You learn something new every day.

Where did you get yours? The toilet store?

On the one hand, a left-winger has just trounced a far-right, son of a Nazi, would-be dictator in the Chilean election. On the other hand, a notorious Twitter troll has won a defamation case and, in doing so, struck a blow for censorship in the High Court.

Yesterday was a swings and roundabouts kind of day for Strontium Dog, the massive Lib Demmer.

The ruling that the defendant's reply to Riley's comments about Corbyn amounted to defamation? This shitty ruling effectively amounts to a ruling that anyone (not just rich people) who calls Riley 'dangerous and stupid' are harming her reputation and should be censored from doing so. Mind you, it appears we can carry on calling people Nazis, so there's some relief for the free speech martyrs.

And it cheapens you to suggest that a person's wealth should be a factor in any judgement handed down in a case like this.

That’s not what happened.  Did you read the whole judgment?

Whether or not someone is one of "the very people those on the left demonise" is irrelevant. If Priti Patel were to receive a load of sexist or racist abuse, it would be "those on the left" defending her from that (while simultaneously criticising her for the horrible shit that she does).

Then where are they when Riley receives racist abuse? Is there are difference between Patel and Riley? Can’t think what it is.

Bollocks mate, she quite clearly implied that Corbyn was a nazi. She's also labelled him anti-semitic and said he is a racist endeavour on a t-shirt she went to the trouble of having printed. The reply to her calling her stupid and dangerous was correct, she is both of them things. Typical spoilt arse who likes to spout her shit but can't handle when anyone stands up to her and calls her a name back.

Hahaha.

If Riley - or any Jewish person - ever receives anti-Semitic abuse, people on the left are the first to stomp on it. The difference is that dickheads like you choose to pretend it doesn't happen.

If all that happened then why hasn’t Corbyn ever sued?  Seems like a slam dunk.  Unless…

Ha ha ha yes, I mean they’ve done a Sterling job of standing up to anti-semitism in recent years. Fucking hell. Proper made me laugh that.  Thanks.

I think Corbyn probably wealthier than a good few of us here but not so wealthy as to risk losing a massive chunk of that on a 'he said' 'she said' court case. Generally only lawyers win those.

You're such a weirdo. Once you fix an idea in your head no amount of evidence is ever going to shake it.
