With all the slip ups chelsea and United have had we could have had this title race in the bag , they will strengthen in the summer and we will be left behind again, this is the best chance to win the league for years and only and incompetent manager will fail to deliver the goods, I wouldn't be saying this other than the fact we are good enough to win it as we were last season but it is the manager being a cautious bottler amd having faith in kuyt that is costing us.

should he be given a contract extension?

dose he deserve one?

would the yanks be justified in giving him the boot even?

imo winning no.5 (and the 2006 F.A Cup to a lesser extent) and buying Torres are the only things he's really got going for him - everything else: lots of money wasted on dodgy players, shitehouse tactics, baffling subs, and most importantly FAILING to learn from his mistakes are all a compelling argument for him to push off next season

i like Benitez but until he starts taking a risk or 2 we are not going to progress any further under his leadership

this isn't a knee jerk reaction but a feeling has been building for some time now

That's a very bold statement to come out with. I just want us to be in the frame with a few games to go; that would represent a challenge and a big improvement.

If that happens then he doesn't deserve to be sacked.

All we can do is wait until the season's over and then re-assess.

Seriously , I'd like to see him given , at the very least, until the end of next season to have a real tilt at the title. If he doesn't look like he's cracked the league - that doesn't mean winning it- I'd then let him go. However the Rafaman will win the league this season and this is all irrelevant anyway.

Exactly. The majority of fans just wanted us to be challenging for the Title at the beggining of the season and thats excactly what we will do, who knows we might even win, it only time will tell.

JMARKH you my friend are a fucking tool.
