Well I missed that offer, but have now ordered Wii Fit, Wii Play and an extra nunchuck from Gameplay for £120 and free delivery. I've probably missed better deals and paid a bit over the odds, but I just wanted to make sure we had one for Christmas.

Not played any computer game since Manic Miner on a Spectrum PC (apart from the odd go on Alone in the Dark on a 90s PC).

 

Played tennis on a mates Wii the other night - what a laugh that was. it was ace. Want one but reckon i'll wait till the kids are a bit older. Youngest is still only 4. Next year for us ( i mean for him) i reckon.

 

What would people recommend for young kids on it though ?

Maybe not for 4 year olds, a little older, but Super Mario Galaxy is superb. Really good fun, imaginative levels and just brilliant.

Major result this week. Bought a Wii on it's own for £120 on Saturday from WHSmiths (were doing £10 off every £30 spent promotion).

 

Got a Wii Fit from Littlewoods with 10% off for £62.

 

Got Wii Play, another nunchuck and Wii Zapper from Additions direct for £37 using a £30 off £60 code.

 

Got Guitar Hero from Argos for £50.

 

I fucking love that HotUKDeals site. It rocks.

 

All I need now is Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart with 2 wheels and possibly Wii Music.

Cool, I was just thinking they should do something like that for their next console, as 3D movements are a bit out with the present controller.

Middle of next year, I believe.

 

And the MarioKart wheel isn't?! I gave up on it sharpish mind and went to the classic controller.
