Can someone look how Jonathon Trott was treated when he decided to quit cricket becasie of his mental health. I mean it only materialised when he was playing abroad on hard fast decks so I for one am calling bollocks.

I deal with affluent young ladies in a professional capacity every day of the week. Any inconvenience (or requirement that they make the minimum of effort) is now described by individuals of their social class and generation as a 'mental health issue'.

Corporations pay to have their products shown in movies, sporting events etc because they want them seen by as many people as possible, that certainly extends to press conferences.

Golfers have the yips angry, darts players likewise. I remember a cricket player Marcus Trescothick (spelling) excellent player but had severe mental issues that stopped him touring, sad because he was talented.

listen you’re the one comparing the behaviour of the affluent young ladies you meet at work to an athlete who has risen through the ranks of her profession to be the 2 best player in the world. She played the mental health card rather recklessly (as her sister's comments indicate). And she's been doubling down since.

 

I don't think it's terribly hard to understand, personally. But for some reason people are inclined to accept such celebrity mental health claims with zero criticality these days...
