The Reds had to withstand a second half fightback from the home side but stood firm to record an important win at Villa Park thanks to goals by Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and a first for young Stefan Bajcetic.

 

Fresh off his sick bed, Chris Smith is joined by Paul Natton and TLW Editor Dave Usher to look back on a satisfying evening in the Midlands, plus the lads discuss the breaking news that Cody Gakpo is on the brink of a move to Anfield.

Na she was laughing hard at that bit!

We listened to that driving through snakes pass, we both enjoyed it. The first one I’ve listened to for ages and it was all good stuff.

I feel more optimistic having listened to it, after the match I was a bit pessimistic about our defending but I suppose we held on and showed character.
