Always liked this one more so for the Liverpool Street scenes.

Weird that the promotional poster is in colour. Must have been quite a revelation first time there was a colour poster and a colour film.

Samuel Fuller’s Naked Kiss and Shock Corridor are worth seeking out for something a bit off the beaten path.

Nicholas Ray’s In a Lonely Place is probably on my top ten list of films ever.

The Thin Man series of films with William Powell and Myrna Loy.

Powelland Pressburger’s I Know Where I’m Going and A Canterbury Tale.

Carol Reed’s Odd Man Out, with James Mason, is likewise sublime.

Is that a photo of Robert Ryan as your avatar?
