I have an irrational hatred of Nathan Lyon, I recoil whenever I see his ugly baldy head, we would definitely not get on

I preferred him in REM.

Got away with it then twice. Going for a ball that should have been left and then that bouncer. We seem devoid of cricket nouse at times.

Short game mentality where they feel like they have to get the bat on everything.

They have been doing it all day. In-fact all series. Unless they can pull off a minor miracle here , all of the team and staff need a serious look at. In-fact they do regardless. I'm no Cricket statto like Piston but even I can tell that the tactics and decision making is all wrong.

Next target should be to just see this through to tea.

I said earlier that getting to 100 with 2 or less gone gives a lot of hope. I'm starting to get confident. Wont be watching the rest of the day for obvious reasons but hoping for a day of it tomorrow where anything can happen.

Yep. Would hate for them to miss “soft dismissal post-interval” from the England Batting Greatest Hits Compilation they’re compiling here...

I'd be mildly confident if we got to 250-2.

So, without wanting to jinx it, what would be acceptable at close of play with the loss of no more than 1 more wkt ? 120-130 ?

Plenty of overs left today due to making up lost time still. 150-160 ish.

Small steps though, finally seeing some proper cricket, although a few pieces of luck they have looked much better. Just keep it going.
