Wasting your time on here with this stuff. The Band were knocked out of the 'Best of the rest of the World' tournament by ABBA. Fucking ABBA.

Worse than all the atrocities in the fry up thread put together & a genuinely dark day for our species.

What's your biggest regret with music?

Mine was not going to see BB King in London. Tickets were pricey so I pit it off and he died while I was in hospital a few years back so never got the chance to see him

I saw him in about 1989 and he was fucking awesome.

Also around the late Eighties/early Nineties, I went to Manchester for a double bill of Van Morrison and Ray Charles.  Morrison was dull as fuck, but he went on for ages, so I was only able to hear half of Ray Charles's brilliant set before I left to get the last train.  I should have stayed.

Similar, not going to Hyde Park to see Tom Petty as the tickets were pretty steep and he was gone 12 months later.

Missing CSN at glasto is 2009 as I was of my nut, having a cry in my tent.

Hank Williams would've been 100 yesterday. Another musician with a troubled life. Alcoholic and addicted to Morphine. Died of heart attack in the back seat of a car with a bottle of Whisky, his doctor had injected him with Morphine. 11 number 1 hits, dead before reaching the age of 30. Nearly all his records were recorded in one take, like the one below. Great songwriter.
