Aye, a sad loss. I'm surprised there haven't been many further TV/ film adaptations of his work after the brilliant 'The Crow Road'. I'd love to see the BBC have the balls to adapt something like 'The Bridge', Wasp Factory or The Business. Proper brave productions right there.

I think I read one of his books in Paul's book club (a great way of getting philistines like me to read). It was good. Was it Transition or something like that?

I should investigate further.

This was really sad. Haven't read any of his Sci Fi stuff, have Player of Games and Consider Phelbus and always meant to get around to them. loved his contemporary stuff, Wasp Factory, Complicity, Whit, Crow Road, the Bridge, Dead Air and the brilliant Espedair Street!

Barbara Cartland was writing into her 90's! life really isn't fair.
