Managing is about so much more than team selection you cunt. It's the single most overrated part of a manager's job. Having a starting eleven is one thing it's what you do with it that matters. Place the same players under Mourinho, and you'll see if we still play with the same losing mentality as we are right now. Put it under Rafa, and you'll see if we are still as vulnerable at the back after scoring.

 

The reality is Rodgers has fucked up a perfectly good defensive system. The cunt indeed.

The personnel aren't the problem it's the system and tactical naivety of the manager. Anyone you asked about Rodgers from watching Swansea last season could have predicted our season this year, he likes to play attacking football but has no other way of playing, which means away from home more often than not you're going to get royally buttfucked. He's the anti-Houllier.

 

We've only lost twice away from him. Not the worst thing every. The defensive problems are mainly down to the midfield positions, not the defenders themselves. When playing the system properly - and we're nowhere near it - defending won't be much of a problem.

Not sure about that. I think Rodgers knew Lucas wasn't going to last 90 minutes and always planned to sub him around the 60/70 minute mark.

 

Its just unfortunate for Rodgers that our four other midfielders are having stinkers. But I guess you could question the wisdom of starting someone who isn't able to finish the game, as you're essentially using 1 sub up before the game even starts.
