I don't think the model is meant to be 100% accurate. It was probably just convenient to put the tunnel in the middle so they could show it on the cross section given the stand is cut in half right at the halfway point.

 

There's nothing to show in that tunnel cross-section anyway so they could have left it where it is (and will supposedly will continue to be). Unless, as I say, the thing is going to move as part of the re-profiling.

The official capacity is 45500 or so. The new Main Stand will add 8500 seat to take the official capacity to 54000. The divider you're rabbiting on about doesnt take 1000 seats out of use. Its nearer 300.

 

We dont get a gate of 45500 because the oppos dont always return unsold seats early enough and even then for some games........

 

Fuck it who cares, we'll have a capacity official or otherwise of 54000 not 53000.

OPERATION ANFIELD EXORCISE

 

Police attended an incident at Anfield on Tuesday afternoon after two men on a stadium tour were reported to have gone missing.

 

Police said that they were called to address “security concerns” at Liverpool’s stadium at around 3pm. “Merseyside police can confirm officers are in attendance following security concerns at Anfield stadium today,” read a statement.

 

“As a precautionary measure, the club has evacuated the stadium and officers are now carrying out inquiries at the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on the 101 number or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”

 

A spokesman for Liverpool added: “There is an incident at Anfield stadium and as a precautionary measure the facility has been evacuated. The priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the ground. The emergency services are aware of the situation.”
