'Very difficult' for Prendeville to recover situation, says Clifford

Leading PR guru Max Clifford has said that the controversy surrounding Jonathan Ross' phone prank pales in comparison to the controversy Neil Prendeville finds himself embroiled in.

 

The broadcaster, who presents Cork's 96FM flagship daily morning show, the most popular show of its kind in the country, was a passenger on a flight from London Heathrow to Cork on October 19 last.

 

It was reported in the Irish Examiner newspaper that Mr Prendeville was seen to expose himself and engage in a lewd act as he sat in his seat.

 

When asked how Prendeville can get out of the situation, Clifford said: “It’s going to be very difficult.

 

“If, as I’m told, he has a reputation for someone who takes the moral high ground on everything, to be seen to be doing something like this is going to be deeply offensive to an awful lot of the people who are his listeners.”
