According to that article. his agent said that there was a meeting on Thursday to discuss the final details of his contract and that on Friday he signed to become the new Liverpool manager. It also said that his wish of coaching in the Premier League came true.

I think the deal is done. Whoever the manager is (i'd guess Pellegrini) i think it's all been agreed. These things take another week to pan out because contracts have to be drawn up for him and his backroom team.
