Sepp Blatter Reveals Republic Of Ireland Asked To Be Included As Extra Team At 2010 World Cup

Irish made extraordinary plea...

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has made the claim that the FAI asked to be included in next summer's World Cup finals as an extra team, following their controversial play-off to defeat to France.

Blatter appeared to rule that request out, but he acknowledged that FIFA needed to take close look at its play-off system ahead of a meeting of the game's governing body on Wednesday.

"On one match it is decided if you are in or out and this is not the spirit behind this World Cup," the Swiss said,

"We must have a look at this. There is so much at stake.

"Naturally they [the FAI] were unhappy with what happened and asked very humbly whether they could be team number 33.

"I will bring it to the attention of the executive committee but if we do that, we will also have to bring in Costa Rica."

The Costa Ricans were denied a goal in their play-off with Uruguay due to an incorrect offside decision.

Blatter also hinted that the extra officials trialled in this season's Europa League would be seen in the World Cup.

"It's possible we will make additional officials for the World Cup but we have to see if it is feasible or realistic. Something has to be done in terms of match control," he added.

"How can it happen that all over the world, through TV cameras, we have seen through a cheating handball that a pass was given for a goal?

"Everyone is asking what is and what isn't fair play. The highest crime in football is touching the ball with the hands."

****************************************************

The FAI sent their top negotiator.

Government inspired conspiracy along with the FAI to deflect attention away from Ireland sinking into the Atlantic and all our public servants going across the border to shop.

That's basically it. Ignore the economic disaster. Ignore the history of child abuse. Concentrate very hard on football!

I laughed when I saw Blatter telling that 33 countries story on the sports news just then. "haha, and they asked...hehe...if they could be...hihi...if they could be the 33rd country in the WC......no, stop laughing, they really asked that...haha...I'm serious...hohohohihihaha...they really did...." etc.

He was really laughing when telling the story, in case you didn't catch that point in my reconstruction.

Err, so what happens to teams after the group stage in the World Cup Finals themselves?

"Naturally they [the FAI] were unhappy with what happened and asked very humbly whether they could be team number 33.

"humbly"

Ok, this is a piss take now, it must be.

"humbly"?

"I will bring it to the attention of the executive committee but if we do that, we will also have to bring in Costa Rica."

Translation: Costa Rica are also offering a large payment.

When the Swiss won that recent youth World Championship (forget which age group it was for), his conduct really summed up his character. The Swiss captain goes to take and lift the trophy.

Its a World Cup. It could well be the highlight of his entire life. He's going to lift the World Cup, as captain of his country,

And that dipshit Blatter wouldn't let go of the trophy, and insisted on keeping his hand on it, as it was being lifted.

Err, cause he's Swiss, so he somehow deserves a share?

It is decided now. Republic of Ireland will get a wild card and they will face the winner of the World Cup just after the final whistle of the final.

The winner will have 15 minutes to relax, take some iso-drinks and then starts the 90 minutes against Ireland. And the winner will be announced as The real world champion.

Take a look at this, about 1:50 in. I might've overdone my description in my first post, but I'm not far off...
