When Frampton said Quigg's general intelligence is reflected in his lack of a boxing brain I half expected him to say thank you.

Even though Frampton is clearly more intelligent, I kind of felt that Quigg had the psychological advantage there.

Not surprised that the AJ fight is with Martin.

 

It is a risky fight in some ways. Obviously it is very early into AJ's career and his toughest opponent was someone who is a prospect just like himself. 

Charles Martin might not be the best champion in the world but he does have a good amount of power and being a southpaw and only an inch or two smaller than AJ could cause him a lot of problems.

 

Hopefully Joshua is on his A game and gets the win. If he wins then he will be classed as a world class opponent already which is a big label to have at 16 fights. If he loses, then he lost at the world stage and can say 'he didn't have enough experience before jumping into the deep end' which is true, really.

 

Would love him to win, though. Already booked hotel and train a few weeks ago so I'm looking forward to it.

Quigg was well schooled by Eddie for that faceoff, he was on the attack for all of it. Came across a bit of a tit to be honest as you know he's not that type of lad at all. Would love him to leave Hearn after this win or lose.
