Not the most original of threads, I know, but the re-emergence of Carragher and Gerrard's resurrection got me thinking.

 

For me, it's between 5 players: Carragher, Gerrard, Reina, Agger and Suarez. I think I'm going with Suarez as after Torres left, I didn't think I could love again, but he has been absolutely thrilling to watch.

its a difficult one for me, Suarez is the one I enjoy watching most, Stevie and Carra have obviously done a ridiculous amount for the club, I really like Agger's style of play etc but I'd say my current favourite is probably Lucas, I think he is an absolute class act and the best player in his position in the league and absolutely vital for the team as well as always coming across as a top bloke and considering all the hurdles he has had to overcome to have the standing he now does within the club

Gerrard. Best player this club has ever produced. Probably the best player we've ever had at the club. A great captain. A great player.

 

I thought age and injuries had finally caught up with him, but he's rammed that down the doubter's throats.

I voted Lucas. I have no reason for this other then it's where my mouse was pointing at the time. However, I do think he's great for the way he fought back from oblivion to being a great example for so many what hard work can get you.

 

I can never “hate” some of our players like some others seem to, and I can never love one player more then everyone else. But I won’t lie; despite being a critic of peoples views of him in the past, I love Carra being back in the defence and more the justifying the position. Things just feel a little bit safer with him there.
