Liverpool do have money to spend on a striker.

Kenwyne Jones snubbed a move to Liverpool to join Stoke and Tony Pulis - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

According to Kenwyne Jones, he turned down a move to Liverpool to go Stoke. Liverpool made a late attempt to prize him away from the pending move to stoke apparently. Well, I wouldn't have wanted that prick anyway, but it's good to see we have money to spend in a position we need to strengthen.

Dunno whats worse, being snubbed "Allegedly" by some 3rd rate basketballer or a the excitement of a last minute bid for the latest cheese eating surrender monkey flop.Anyone know if Usher still has Neil Mellors mobile number

Stoke are, after Chelsea and City, the club with the best finances in the league, and have money to spend. I'm guessing they've finally splashed some of it on ridiculous wages that we weren't willing to match.

Kenwyne Jones' agent must be trying to justify why he made what is, at best, a sideways move, by bringing our name into the discussion. I very much doubt we are or were interested. Can just imagine that conversation:

Jones' agent: Hi Chris old buddy old pal. Kenwyne wants to move to your club. Any chance of a deal?

Purslow: Always a chance me ol' mucker. Can you ring me on a different line as this one is rather busy?

Jones' agent: Sure thing. What's the number?

Purslow: It's 001 514 xxxxxxx..........Got it?

Jones' agent: Yeah Chris. Chat to you in a bit.

(rings number)

Man on line: Welcome to Kirdi's Pizza Emporium. May I take your order?

(agent hangs up)

Jones' agent (to Jones): Sorry pal, they want a different Kenny.

Hodgson's transfer targets thus far are not filling me with confidence in the least.

Will probably continue until we either get the club sold or Mascher is sold for a decent price. I've just got used to it personally and am waiting to see how Roy uses what he has.
