    Work in progress. We're playing good football and it's patently obvious that the problem lies with us not being able to transform good performances in to goals. Most football fans are very fickle and lack patience. Fortunately for Rodgers the majority of our supporters have been fantastic towards him and I think we all appreciate how hard this job is. It took Slur Alex a long time to build a title challenging side and there is no quick fix for Liverpool Football Club in our current predicament. I think we just all have to keep the faith with Rodgers as there is no point in changing management again - sustainability is what we need right now and I firmly believe that BR is the man to take us forward. Admittedly, there have been negatives to his start at the club, however there have also been many positives that we can be happy with. Brendan, you've got my full support!

    Henderson's a decent player but he shouldn't play on the right. Looks so much better in the centre. Bringing off Adam and putting Henderson in the middle would benefit us. That would mean Kuyt or Bellamy can come on and provide more width. Come on reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Downing and Adam should help creatively, but yes it is a worry. Suarez gives us something special in the final third and Gerrard, despite his injuries, is still our talisman. A lack of pace and guile, as well as mediocre centre backs, may be our downfall this season. Godin and Perriera would pretty much address the issues which I have just stated so I am hoping that we can pull off a miracle by signing the pair. Unlikely I know, but we can still dream.

    Just recieved a text from my mate (a rawk forumite) asking me if I'd heard anything on here regarding Stewart Downing because according to rawk someone on here has said Downing is having a medical tomorrow? According to him, this "Liverpool way poster" has said the fee will be £20mill. I've seen no such thing on here but thought I'd double check...

    Cahill would be ace. We need a strong centre back that can dominate aerily and he fits the bill. I wouldn't say that the lad is slow...he just isn't regarded as quick. Him, Dann or Lovren would fit the bill nicely!

    3 or 4 at most from the entire squad today stand a decent chance of ever making an appearance for Liverpool 1st team. Surely this backs up a lot of people's argument that reserve team football is pointless?

    Aurelio picked up yet another injury today and this, unfortunately, could mean that the classy Brazilian may well have played his last game for the reds. This is certainly a possibility when you take into account that the club are keen on clearing out the "dead wood" in the summer. But with the emerging talents at full back, will Aurelio be one of those shipped out? In all probability, yes. When he gets in to the swing of things and has played a few games on the bounce, he always looks like an incredibly classy full-back who can attack and defend very well. Unfortunately he's made of glass and has suffered terribly with injuries at Liverpool. So what do you think the future holds for Fabio? Whatever happens, I think we can all agree that he has been a great servant to the club and we are unfortunate not to have seen the absolute best of him.

    Say what you want about his tenure as manager on other threads, but not on this one please. I don't know if it's been posted already on other threads but I desperately need to say a massive thank you to Rafa for being the top bloke that he always is and paying his respects to the 96 on the Kop today with his wife Montse. He's always understood us and seeing him choked up like he was today made me a little emotional as I'm sure it did for many others. The most important attribute a Liverpool manager can have is understanding our fantastic supporters - boy did he do that whilst he was in charge.     Top top top signing if true. The guy can defend and attack extremely well and I have been an admirer of his for many years. 3 things we need in our team: Dangerous crosses Pace down the flanks A winning mentality Enrique has all of these in abundance. Anyone who saw the lad against Villa will know how hard he strove to get his team forward and the first player Newcastle looked for when starting up an attack was Jose Enrique. Him and Carroll were a perfect match for the toon and I'm sure they will be at Anfield. It's also worth mentioning that Enrique only recently turned 25 so he still has age on his side. Lets just hope he does pull on a Liverpool shirt next season ;)

    OUT: Maxi Aquilani Poulsen Aurelio Ngog Konchesky Cole Jovanovic Kyrgiakos El Zhar Degen Insua IN: Adam N'Zogbia Arda Turan Jose Enrique Mertesacker Lukaku Are the above players an improvement and realistic at the same time? I'd certainly say so. None would break the bank and every single one of the above would add something to the team. I for one certainly wouldn't disagree with these signings.
