I think you nearly have to get to the final to get any real prize money IIRC from some figures from last season.

 

Another point to consider is our UEFA coefficient/ranking. I think we are due to lose our 2005 winning years points from our total next season, and considering we seem to be going backwards lately in terms of progression in the CL, any ranking points we could manage to get in the Europa league might well keep us in the top 8 group of seeds.

I'd make the most of any European competition and ANY trips abroad, because in a few years time this club's only hope of European entry will be through the Inter-Toto cup (or applying to play in the league of ireland).

 

In a few years, entry into the Europa league will be worthy of a special DVD in the club shop (whioch will by then be renamed The Tom Hicks Jnr Texan Car-Boot Sale)

 

It's time for people to wake up to the state we're in, and lowering their expectations accordingly.
