One needs to be created quickly imo; as not to allow for shouts of 'Keano, Keano' or 'There's only one Keano' that will inevitably surface from some of our 'fans' if they don't have something else to impress their mates with come the start of the season.

I think we could do something with the tune of Sally Maclennane by The Pogues (there is already a Liverpool song to this tune but it hasn't took off, as far as I'm aware).

Ideas?

We bought the Keane that isn't a prick Robbie, Robbie

He'll stick it in at the back stick, Robbie, Robbie

He's had more clubs the Sandy Lyle

He's finally a red and we can all smile

Robbie Keane, were not sure if he's 11 or 7.

Benitez has just said it'll be probably be 7. Damn, thought we had a winner there.

I think we could do something with the tune of Sally Maclennane by The Pogues

(To tune of the chorus - from 'Sad to say I must be on my way...')

Ra-fa said that Robbie's on his way,

Give him the number seven 'cos I know the lad can play,

Since he was a little lad he said he's been a fan,

But then again we heard the same from Jari Litmanen.

Here's the tune -

10 seconds... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... Ignition... Lift off

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, if only you could make us understand

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, your influence will spread throughout the land

Let's hear it for Mr Robbie

(Robbie, Robbie, Robbie)

His philosophy of life will steer him through

And as far as he can see

He's the same as you and me

There's nothing in the world he cannot do

No hill too high, no desert too dry

No road too long, no tide too strong

No bridge too far, he's got a car

No slope to steep, no thought too deep

No star too bright, no squeeze too tight

No tale too tall, no cat too cool

No bass too low, he'll give it a go

No end to his talents, no sense of balance

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, when disaster strikes you never get depressed

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, you'll always prove that Robbie is the best

Although he's unconventional in hue

His philosophy of life will steer him through

And despite the limitation

Of his poor co-ordination

He knows he'll show the world a thing or two

(Robbie, Robbie, Robbie)

Robbie, Mr Robbie, you're the guy who puts the do in do or die

Robbie, Mr Robbie, your deeds are guaranteed to stupefy

No ride too rough, no test too tough

No act too slick, no race too quick

No shot too hot, he'll hit the spot

No style too chic, no joke too weak

No chance too slim, no fate too grim

No foe too strog, no odds too long

No price too high, he's put some by

No dodge, no doubt, no backing out

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, if humanity's a question of degree

Robbie, Mr Robbie, stay loyal to your Robbie pedigree

Robbie, oh Mr Robbie, you're the one who bears the pink and yellow crest

Robbie, Mr Robbie, you'll always prove that Robbie is the best

To the tune of Mr Blobby. Though I think he may find the lack of coordination lyrics a tad undermining.

Btw, that should be followed by...

'NA NA, NA NA, NA NA, NA NA; NA NA, NA NA, NA NA'

...before being repeated.

Courtesey of -HH- on RAWK:

to the tune of

To 'Wild Rover'.

Our last number 7's have been quite obscene,

So Rafa said go forth and sign Robbie Keane,

We had Houghton and Whelan in great sides before,

Now the Kop has a great Irish hero once more.

And it's Keane wearing seven *clap clap clap clap*

He creates and he scores.

And he'll take us to heaven,

Like King Kenny before.
