Looks good to me, back defending again tonight (never seen Kewell do that!), and plenty of quality crosses. What do you think?

I thought he was poor and spent too long on the ball. He played a few sloppy passes too. That's just my opinion though.

I like him. He adds an extra dimension to our play with his crosses, and he will take people on and beat them, which we haven't been doing much for a long time. Works hard too.

he was poor last night but a lot of that is because of the midfielders playing alongside him. With didi and momo in the middle there is no urge to push on and so a lot of the emphasis on attack had to come from the wings. Obviously this means that the kaunas defence can put pressure on him and so the balls for him to chase didnt work as he is not quick, and there was often more than one player to beat.

I dont think it is coincidence that he looked better when gerrard came on, he got more space because SG was pushing on and took defenders attentions away from Bolo.

I thought the crossing in general was poor last night, the only decent crosses were the corner when sami hit the bar, and Garica's cross for cisse's goal.

Zenden looks far more dangerous to me when he has the space and support to play triangular passes and link up with other players, rather than running at men. That happened more second half due to garcia being pushed up front looking to do the same and the introduction of gerrard.

Zenden will prove a good bit of business i am sure of that, i still dont think he will command a first team spot but it is good that we have options.

yesterday was his worst game for us so far, like garcia he kept on cutting back inside too much, but I think that was a function of problems in central midfield more than anything else. like RRM said, I'm sure this wont be such an issue when gerrard & alonso are keeping their shape in the middle. zenden's not going to be the sort of player that beats people all the time, but he's defo going to be an asset to us. and rashid: 'you get what you pay for' - don't be stupid. he's a pretty superior kind of a squad player I would say.
