Heard that he's gone to Roma for £4M - not sure if its true, anybody in the know?

 

Hope he doesn't go there 'cos from what i've seen of him, he's a fantastic player and at that price is definitely someone we should be looking at.

Yeah they've got financial problems but they sold Samuel and Zebina (their two centre backs) for around £20M so maybe they can afford it. They obviously need a centre back as well.

Zebina went for free, Samuel for about £15m

 

Mexes is in talks with them and will hold talks with Juve, apparently he was here over the last week holding talks with us, his agent has said talks are still in early stages with all parties

I stand corrected then mate. Sure I heard that Zebina cost a bit, obviously not.

 

I hope we make a concerted effort in that case to get him because from what i've seen of him he looks brilliant.

Anyone heard anything on this ? According to Sky Sports News he's just turned down a move to the Mancs (for 15m !)

Yep, turned down United cos he wouldn't play very often by all accounts. £15 million?! Those Mancs love paying too much for people don't they?!?

I think he's still Roma bound.The 15m bid may be Euros not Pounds but is way too much either way.

He rejected Man U who were able to match Auxerre's valuation. He want Roma move, but Roma is only offering 1/3 the transfer fee for him which is not acceptable for Auxerre. The deal is in limbo.
