How on earth can you keep Kuyt out? I'd have the same formation, but with Kuyt.

 

I think a lot will depend on how Aquilani plays under Rafa's instructions.

I don't think he's started the season very well.

 

Plus I think I have got to the stage where I am sick of not seeing our best 'footballers' on the pitch... the ones who are best on the ball.

 

Benayoun works just as hard as Kuyt and has similar movement... the difference is he can actually beat players and offer more guile than Kuyt.

 

Same with Carragher. Top defender, although he's not been on top form the last season or so. Think Agger and Skrtel have the potential to be a great combination in possession and nulifying opposition defenses... between them they have everything. Sure Carragher's organisation is vital I hear you say... well it hasn't helped us this season so far. Plus Skrtel or Agger might step up and lead if given the chance without Carragher barking at everyone.

 

In that team everyone is comfortable in possession and we have our best chance of dominating and controlling games. In Riera and Benayoun we have our best chance of creating chances.

I would like to see Torres play off kuyt for a few games. the goal at bolton showed maybe the makings of a partnership. Would also free up Gerrard to be a little more creativity and get on the ball more.

 

In terms of our wingers, Riera and Benayoun, they need to be more consistent. Maybe that will come with getting regular run outs, but the minor blip at the start of the season is minor. lets be judged when we lose our next game. We may have lost the same as we did last year but there are no draws!!!!

kuyt has become even more invaluable to just cover for johnson. With the amount of times johnson forgets he's a defender we need someone with the workrate and strength of kuyt in covering that right hand side.

The formation Rafa wants to play? Personally I like what hes doing at the moment and think the fact Lucas hasn't had a mention in any ones squad yet has been a bit shocking. He has been one of our better performers this season imo. We just need sort out the defence.

 

Don't know where this leaves Alberto to fit in, i'm sure Rafa will figure it out. He will most likely have to take the place of Lucas or Masch. Maybe it will look a little something like this;

Maybe this fact says something. Never had anything personal against Leiva but he certainly is not LFC quality. Maybe as a squad players who makes appearence in every third game for 15 minutes and starts in Carling Cup and in the early rounds of FA Cup. Bot nothing more.

I really like Insua, good composure, gets forward, good defender, I think he has been one of the bright spots this season, him and Johnson.
