In your opinion, Jules. It's been a season of injuries so anyone that's been consistent and present would stand out. We'd be in far worst position if he had been injured like 99% of his colleagues.

You could argue Reina has been better but often he's only had a few things to do in each match.

 

He deserves it and people need to take a step back and stop this Alonso nonsence.

 

I disagree with this mate. I think we'd be in a far, far, far better position. Rafa would have been forced to play Stevie deeper and put a better standard of player than Lucas in a more advanced role. It's pretty much what everyone has been calling for all season. Masch was pretty shit for the first few months as was Carra. Kuyt has been atrocious for long spells. No way they deserve to be ahead of him.

 

And as for Lucas not scoring a goal it hardly compares badly to Carra and Masch's grand total of 1 goal between them.

 

Reina has far and away been our best player this season, though.

I'm disappionted with our season, as are we all. The points Lucas has does surprise me, but then again he has started every P.L match this season, as has Pepe who has kept us alive time and time again which is memorable, I dont remember once this season thinking after a match that Lucas was amazing!

After Masch and Pepe you could give it to anyone, particularly anyone who has played every match, which only make Masch's points all the more valuable(?) considering his poor form early-on and his suspensions.

Pepe is mostly immense.

But Lucas???
