As usual, lots of people on here don't seem able to praise a player without slagging another one off. There will be loads of opportunities for everyone with the number of games we have coming up. I expect us to have maybe three line ups to deal with different opponents, apart from changes due to form/injury/tiredness.

The important thing is that all of the strikers we now have are intelligent players with footballing brains and decent touch - Rafa will give give them a task and expect it to be carried out - end of.

Another thing I like about Kuyt is the model way in which he left Feyenoord - he left on good terms with the fans and the chairman - says a lot about his character I think.

Well said.

This thread was supposed to be about the Kuyt who has made a very promising start as an LFC player. Crouch is still important to us and I see no reason why they both cant play together in games either.

Kuyt's enthusiasm rubbed off on the whole ground. Hell, I even felt it in TV land. Long may it continue.

Crouch and Kuyt fucking rule.

The top journo for Aftonbladet loves him. He says

"Desto roligare var det att se Liverpools nye anfallare Dirk Kuyt, 140-miljonersmannen från Feyenoord, som ersatte Peter Crouch i andra halvlek mot West Ham (2-1). Uj, uj - inte sen jag såg Wayne Rooney första gången har jag så omedelbart blivit förtjust i en spelare. Vilken man! Allt han gjorde var klockrent... jag säger bara: kolla in honom, han kan bli årets värvning i ligan."

"It was even more enjoyable to see Liverpool's new forward Dirk Kuyt, the 10 million pound man from Feyenoord, who replaced Peter Crouch in the second half against West Ham (2-1). Wow, not since I first saw Wayne Rooney have I so immediately liked a player. What a man! Everything he did was bang on...I will just say: Keep an eye on him, he can be the signing of the year in the league."
