Anyone got any experience of sorting a new phone contract with an online retailer?

My existing phone contract runs out shortly so I'm thinking about what to do then.

Looking around the cheapest deals seem to be with online retailers. I am no techy and have appreciated the ability to go back to the shop afterwards to discuss problems, not that many in reality, so am a little wary of going the remote route.

Any advice much appreciated

I've used dialaphone in the past, very good service and had absolutely no problems with them.

I used dialaphone a few years ago. No real issues but when phone developed a fault the high Street shop didn't want to know, said they are effectively a separate entity and I had to deal with them.

If you are wary of the need to go to the shop with queries/technical issues then don't buy  online.  Even with the same branded shops/website they are separate companies and unlikely to help you if you buy online.

Google the site you want to look at and see if there are any threads that come up on Money Saving Expert - if there are no horror stories on there you're probably good to go.

I did my search on the MSE site so I'd like to think that was a recommendation of sorts but will investigate further

By all means look elsewhere but MSE contains some of the biggest moaners on the internet (I should know, I'm one of them!)

'Search' for the best deal, rather than a search for any reports about the individual companies
