City 0 Liverpool 1

Penalty to us after Wilson is fouled in the box.

Long ball from Johnston finds Wilson on the right and his wonderful first touch took him past his marker into the box where he's brought down for a stonewall penalty.

Wilson picks himself up and sends the home keeper the wrong way.

City 1 Liverpool 1

Masterson is caught on the ball trying to play out from the back leaving us short through the middle. A nice little weighted ball through the gap found the home side's striker one on one with Grabara, and the striker passed the ball beyond the Pole in our goal to bring the score level.

Almost 3-1. Grabara makes a very good save to keep the score at 2-1.

Could then have been 2-2 as we break down the other end through Curtis Jones, who finds Rhian Brewster breaking into the box and the young striker sees an effort come back off the post.

Halftime - City 2 Liverpool 1

Just under 15 minutes of stoppage time played following the injuries to the City number 11 and later, Rhian Brewster.

We had the lead through Wilson's penalty, and Harry really should have made it 2-0 just moments later when he missed a free header from around 8 yards after good play by Dhanda down the left.

The City equaliser came about via a mistake at the back by Masterson, and then City took advantage of Mich'el Parker's injury to take the lead going into the break.

So, 3 goals & 3 substitutions, 2 of which resulted in players being stretchered off the pitch.

Hopefully not that bad.

You hope that it's not bad of course, it was concerning to see that Rhian was given oxygen as he was being stretchered off. The City lad who was taken off didn't look like he received any, and he looked in a fair amount of pain too.
