The fact people pay Twitter any mind is crazy, basically any dickhead shouts his mouth off using the veil of anonymity and it becomes 'Liverpool fans on Twitter', it's a gift for lazy journalism. Sick of it - it's shite.

It also destroyed the art of the death threat. Back in my day, you had to actually know where a man lived before you could post threats about acts you had no intention of committing. Now, any softlad with access to a computer can do it.

It didn't use to be this way. It didn't use to be this way, at all.

Stan has been very very brave throughout this whole sorry episode, its like the time Martin Luther King stood up against pig ignorant people and got shot for his troubles, just replace Kings "i have a dream speech" with Stans " twitter well out of order there, well out of order" and it could be the same person.

Stan's bravery in closing down his Internet for two hours rightly made the BBC news, why should idiots say idiotic things to other idiots on the Internet? He could have took the easy way out and just blocked the idiots responsible but Stan to a more gallant stand and went for the full blown publicity line which this issue deserved. He also got in the papers, always a good thing, if career has habit of going down the shitter.

Then, he went back on twitter!!! After all he's been through. How fucking brave is that? move over Mandela, the world awaits the book outlining this magnificent deed, "the long walk too the laptop" maybe?

The Internet can rest easy tonight knowing Stans back, with mind blowing comments like "mata, good player, bit pricey" It's just a shame that idiots will continue to call other idiots idiots and worse on the Internet, so "Stans last stance" as he would like it to be known, was a complete waste of time, but that wasn't his objective anyway.
