I'm sick of the shit that Steve Bruce and Eddie Howe have been getting for prioritising league over cup.

Srsry tho,  I'm amazed at how many pundits think the buck gets to stop with the coaches of clubs as to what competitions they'll prioritise. As if Pellegrini wants to chuck a cup he'll probably never have another pop at.

Diouf mouthing off again

El-Hadji Diouf has reignited his war of words with former Liverpool team-mates Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard and launched an extraordinary attack on the pair in an expletive-laden interview.

“The difference between Jamie [Carragher] and me is that I am a world-class player and he is a s**t,” said Diouf. “The type of s**t that writes a book and mentions me all the time. Me, in my book, he does not warrant one phrase: he's a f*****g loser.”

Diouf was speaking to So Foot magazine in an explosive interview that is published in France on Thursday. He also hit out at Gerrard, another ex-Anfield team-mate.

In a previous interview, Diouf had responded to criticism in Gerrard’s autobiography by saying that he is revered wherever he goes while Gerrard is hated outside Liverpool. Diouf was asked if he really meant that. “And do you think Gerrard means it when he says that El-Hadji Diouf is not a very good player?” Diouf responded.

“I carried the national team for many years, 14 million fans on my shoulders. When we won, it was thanks to me, when we lost, it was my fault. What I represented for Senegal, he [Gerrard] never managed 100th of that for England. He has never done anything in the World Cup or the Euros.

"When I arrived at Liverpool, seeing as I just did what I wanted, he thought that I did not respect the club. But he downright killed his team by slipping against Chelsea. If Liverpool has never won the Premier League, it's no accident. What goes around, comes around.”

Diouf also fell out with Anton Ferdinand at Sunderland in 2008.

“We were not fighting, I sorted him out, before we were separated,” he explained. “I said to him, ‘Let’s go to the gym, I will take you on.’ He did not want to. I said, ‘You are like your brother... you walk like him, you eat like him - write your own story.’ Inevitably, it was difficult in terms of atmosphere, I spent six s****y months there. We were not a team. There were little w*****s in the group who thought they were the best but they were crap. Anton, he was the number one w****r.”

They crossed paths again in a Manchester nightclub. Ferdinand was with nine of his friends and Diouf was on his own. “I ignored him; that must have bothered him, so he came over to test me. I'm a man, I can defend myself. If there is a crazy guy who wants to take me on, I'll show him that I'm crazier than him. The first of his friends who came too close to me, he ended up running away. Since I was drinking champagne, I broke my glass and I attacked them… I came out unscathed, and since then, the club now uses plastic glasses.”

Diouf has retired from football but wants to become a politician in Senegal.

“After El-Hadji Diouf the footballer, you will see El-Hadji Diouf the businessman and politician! In Saint-Louis, everyone is waiting for me, they want me to become mayor. With my background and knowledge, I will make one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. I am going to change things for my country. Football or politics: whatever I do, it's incredible.”

Giggs and Rooney will be delighted by this:

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has told his players to be "horny" after demanding more passion for the Europa League clash with FC Midtylland.

United are 2-1 down to the Danish side going into Thursday's last-32 second leg, having already been knocked out of the Champions League.

Asked what he wanted from his team, Van Gaal replied: "Desire, hunger. A lot of times I use the word 'horny'."

Diouf looked like he had a lot of talent at the World Cup and I was made up when we signed him. How wrong I was! A couple of flicks here and there, but after a few games it was clear that the talent wasn't really there, and as for the application, the less said about that the better. Not a good player and an even worse human being.

Looks like he's gonna be the one getting fucked the way things are shaping
