I thought you were giving us Houllier's first excuse for Heskey being crap next season, I can just see it now, "Well he was in the Euro 2004 squad so we won't see the best of him until sometime in January"

If France win, and if Monaco and Marseille win (all three, with maybe the UEFA Cup being the dodgy one; quite possible) would it be the first time one country has won all three major Euro trophies in the spa of a month?

 

Yes, it would be. The nearest was Germany in 1980.

 

West Germany won the European Championship.

 

Hamburg lost in the European Cup Final

 

Moenchengladbach played Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Cup Final
