I tell you what though, I wouldn't like to have to play with that defence on the field now for many matches. If there was an injury to Finnan, as it stands now, that would be the back four for a couple of weeks until Carra is back and it would concern me.

Benny has had a decent first half, the rest have been their usual decent and at times infuriating selves...Albert has been solid, but the defence has looked shaky.

So good so far regards the result.

My view of the first half has been a mixture of some good football with some good link up play with Benayoun and Arbeloa and then some shite passing from Riise.

Other then the Crouch goal i think both strikers have been very wasteful in front of goal and i really wish we would start playing the ball to Crouch's feet cos he certainly cant head the fucking ball.

I personally think we are watching our third and fourth choice strikers and in all fairness its a close run thing between them.

Benayoun has been superb and has been very Beardsley-esque at times. He has given Rafa choices now regards who to play on the right has both Yossi and Pennant are both looking good on the wing.

Leto has been alright, nothing special but not bad either. He took a pretty good corner from the right and is willing to track back and once he has the ball he has tried taking on the full back.

I personally would leave Leto on and let him get a full game under his belt and take either Crouch or Kuyt off and bring on Babel (or even take them both off and bring Torres on as well).

Keiron Dyer carried off with a broken leg for the Hammers tonight, and all ITV can say is that it could be a blow for England...makes you glad you're a club fan doesn't it eh?

The luck West Ham had last season seems to evening itself out now...Faubert out long term after a few minutes of playing time for them, and now Dyer...what goes around come around.

That was....well kind of rubbish. But we are leading, but still strange too see so many players not trying to stake a claim for a place in the side.

Momo has been our best performer. Banayoun has showed some very neat touches, and you can see he is a proper footballer. Leto has showed some good qualities, and he seems able to put a cross in.

In defence only Arbeloa looks totally focused. Riise, Hyypia,Agger and Reina ( while controlling for large parts ) has almost been caught out due to nonchalance.

Up front im a little dissapointed with both Kuyt and Crouch. Kuyt works very hard, but he needs to improve his finishing which has been awful for quite some time now. Crouch missed two easy headers when under no pressure whatsoever. This Toulose side is missing both their first choice central defenders, and their defensive organisation is non existent, so we should walk over this side.

So even though we are in control, this game should have been put beyond Toulose early on. If we just up the tempo a notch we will blow them apart. But if we continue playing at this slow tempo, we will leave an open invitation for them to get back into the match.

Kuyt really needs a goal, to boost his confidence. We will create many chances, so hope he stays on.

Lucas should get some minutes, and also try to get Babel off the mark. It would be nice to get all our forwards of the mark, so they dont have that nagging doubt in the back of their minds.
