Rafa talks Fowler

I was against it first of all, didn’t want to ruin the memories of a great player when he was in his prime etc, etc.

But know I’m really excited about it (possibly) happening. Would be great to see him walk out onto the pitch with the shirt on.

I think he would defiantly bring some thing (ie more goals) to the team.

The ovation he'd get coming on (I'd imagine his second debut would come as a sub) would be incredible.

Absolutely. There's unfinished business as far as Fowler's concern & what's the worst that could happen? If it went tits up we could let him go at the end of the season. At least then we could give him a proper sendoff rather than him getting hauled off at half-time against Sunderland.

Against Brum next week. Heskey gives Brum a late lead after they've been mullered like they were at Anfield last season yet fluked a goal, God comes on for Riise, we go 3 at the back and go for it. We get a late peno and as Gerrard has been rested God steps up infront of the Kop, 1-1 no probs, gets booked for his celebration. Into injury time and he unleashes a 35 yarder that hits the bar but bounces just over the line, he runs towards the Kop to celebrate but gets knackered halfway there so walks the rest, takes his shirt off, gets booked again and is sent off.

Liverpool 2 (Fowler 89pen, 90. Fowler S/O 90) Birmingham 1 (Heskey 81) FACT
