  1. I agree, it was a bit flat and mid-paced. And a poor choice of opener, I thought. Would have worked better in a more intimate venue.
  2. From the BBC - good old 'Arry at it again: "Harry Redknapp believes Newcastle fans should stop complaining about their owner Mike Ashley. "The chairman's spent fortunes up there and they're still shouting and moaning. He's spent about £100m and they're still calling him names," he added.
  3. Just your typical early-season defeat for a work in progress still finding its way, see also: Watford/Middlesbrough '99, Ipswich '00, Villa/Bolton '01, Fulham '05, Marseille '07...
  4. Wasn't it that Pako felt he couldn't work with Macia so started looking for another job?
  5. I loved how they had a character with the surname Crosby just so they could give him the nickname 'Bing'.
  6. Ask not what your club can do for you... If he goes he goes. I'd hope our days of saying: "We have to do x, x and x or (insert player name here) will leave," are over after we got burnt by the last twat. Players come and players go. Ferguson was right about one thing - the most important person at the club has to be the manager.
  7. We have wise men in charge at every level of the club. It's a great feeling. Liverpool Football Club is in the right hands.
  8. Roan: "H&G: Bid by 'Meriton' (Lim) is still on table and better than nesv, as is an offer from Mill Financial!"
  9. Mascherano was in the crowd last night, presume the pic of the Greek and Pacheco was from Sunday?

  11. We finished second 14 months ago.
  12. They did something similar with Alonso too if I remember rightly.
  13. No and I don't want Hodgson either. Why are you putting words into my mouth? As I have said at least twice before in this thread, I just don't see why people feel the need to try to diminish his excellent achievements at Fulham. And the season they finished with 52 points they had Saha up front and Van Der Sar in goal.
  14. It is. What would he have to do for you to count it as a fantastic job then?! I'm not saying he's the man for us, but there are plenty of reasonable ways you can say that without playing down his excellent achievements with Fulham.
  15. So taking a team from the brink of relegation to their highest league position in their history, followed by a European final within two years is not doing a fantastic job? Right.
