Not that bad but compared to Lord Nelson and Hanover Hotel its probably around at least 10 minutes longer walk from where you are going to work.

Have you checked out any B&Bs? I seem to recall staying in one for £25 (£20 without breakkie) but that was closer to Anfield than Lime street.

It is mate trust me, what I was thinking about was if they had a few rooms at the Crown as well, thought someone told me that once, but I'm not sure as I've never really asked them.

What about the metro inn hotel? I've stayed in a few of them they're normally cheap.

 

If not there are a load of cheap hotels/digs on shiel road, not the best area but only two minutes from town and the will be dirt cheap.

 

Try metro inn, it's on the dock road and I have recently stayed in one in Middlesbrough, cost me £130 for five nights.
