Kenny said he made a mistake playing him from the start against Sunderland. He then gave him a good rest and he ran riot against Arsenal.

 

I imagine tonight, fully rested and raring to go he hopes he will bag a few before taking him off.

 

I'm not seeing the difficulty in understanding the logic there.

 

just with it only being a few days rest wouldn't have thought there would've been much different from the Arsenal game and he'd be saved for Bolton

Different team, massive difference. We score a couple and they're so poor they are no way coming back from that. They've a pretty shit squad and doing really badly at the moment.

 

Exeter on the other hand, well they're not much better really.

What a man, great respect for Exeter (dropped in a couple of facts about their form and last game), feet firmly on the ground and reminded us all that we shouldn't get on players backs.

No reason not to take all three domestic competitions seriously this season. I would love to win the Carling fucking Cup.

 

I want us to do well in the domestic competitions, but this is very early days and he's a player who really changes our game. If he gets injured in the Premiership, that's one thing. If he gets injured in the Carling cup, we're in great danger of struggling to pick up points in the premier league. That'd be a big disaster, no?

 

I think it's a risk that's not worth taking. It's not like we can't beat Exeter with Carroll or N'Gog, or even Kuyt? Just a bit worried, mate. That's all. Might just be my nerves.

Have to agree, Suarez could do with the rest and andy could do with goals.

That's fair enough, but I agree with zigackly that there's no point wrapping him up in cotton wool incase he gets injured, that could happen in any game.

 

I would have started Carroll personally though, as you say he could bang in a few goals which would do him good.
