What a touch that Colin has. First, he oversaw the relegation of Sheffield United, albeit, with the help of his nearest and dearest, Rafa. Now he's been present while Crystal Palace have gone into administration.

Stockport have had to sell all their decent players and have offloaded staff. They'd be in the black now if it wasn't for the £1000 a day two Administrators wages.

Absolutely hate seeing any football club in this state to be honest. The twats currently in the senior positions at Palace aren't a reason to be pleased, as has been mentioned, it's not them that will have a problem with it. Both will continue elsewhere in football if they want to. Its the fans that have followed them for 50 years through thick (about 2 years under Coppell) and thin (48 years) I feel sorry for.

 

 

Also its no longer something which to a Liverpool supporter "only ever happens to other teams".

Agreed. It is a worrying development.....

I saw him ruefully admitting that they're going to be in a relegation scrap and I thought "Yeah - you're great at them!" He's probably already digging for dirt on the other teams at that end of the division, so he can decide who he's going to blame when Palace go down.

Crystal Palace face liquidation unless the consortium attempting to buy the stricken club can complete the deal by tomorrow afternoon.

 

CPFC 2010, the group headed by local businessmen Steve Parish and Martin Long, claim they have until 3pm tomorrow to secure their takeover or Agilo, the hedge fund which put Palace into administration in January, will begin selling off players and dissolving the club.

 

The consortium, whose bid to save the club has stalled over the sale of their Selhurst Park ground, have even called on Prime Minister David Cameron to intervene with the south London club on the brink of going out of business.

Sorry that Palace are in this situation as I don't particularly hate the club. Yes they've had more than their fair share of mongs at the club. However, I absolutely HATE Selhurst Park. Along with the Riverside and Stamford Bridge.
