He has been left out of the spain squad according to the offal. (load of other PR bollocks on there like Ngog stating that every game is a must win game?!?)

Fernando Torres has been left out of Spain's squad for their forthcoming internationals with Argentina and Austria.

The Reds forward has been troubled by injury in recent weeks and national team coach Vicente del Bosque has opted not to risk including him in his 23-man list.

"We spoke to him, we spoke to (Liverpool coach) Rafa Benitez and we came to the conclusion it's better not to force him," said Del Bosque. "We don't want to push him, we want him to recover."

The Reds do have one representative in the squad, with Pepe Reina amongst the three goalkeepers selected.

The Spain squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Diego Lopez (Villarreal).

Defenders: Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Andoni Iraola (Athletic Bilbao), Carlos Marchena (Valencia), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid).

Midfielders: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Xavi Hernandez (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona).

Strikers: Pablo Hernandez (Valencia), Dani Guiza (Fenerbache), Juanma Mata (Valencia), David Silva (Valencia), David Villa (Valencia), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla), Jesus Navas (Sevilla).
