Reina

Carra Skrtel Agger Aurelio/Arbeloa

Mascherano Barry

Bentley Gerrard Downing

Torres

it is then.

Would that team win the league?

Hard to see it when the mancs will go out and buy someone like Dani Alves

Chelsea will buy Villa or someone of similar quality and arsenal linked with Nasri and ben arfa.

Im really afraid of what this summer may bring as its make or break time 4 rafael.

Good. I have no problem with Carra playing there for a handful of games if it is deemed necessary by Rafa, but he's much better as a cb.

Exactly. Also if we are to continue playing a 4-2-3-1 formation, then the width has to come from the full backs. The 3 players playing behind Torres all need to be a goal threat capable of getting double figures in terms of goals in the league.

Bentley/Kuyt and Downing/Babel but yes, the possibilities are endless. Number 19 is finally here (should rafa stay)

Thats gay.

How are Gareth Barry and Bentley worth 15M each and Crouch only worth 6M?

Last year of his contract or not, the lad scores goals. If you want him, fucking pay us.

I agree. He is a proven goalscorer in the premiership and at international level. I think we will get a decent fee for him as there appears to be quite a bit of interest.

Pragmatic :(

Reina

Carragher Hyypia Skrtel Agger

Bentley Alonso Mascherano Barry/Downing

Gerrard Torres

We won't be playing 4-4-2 next season, Rash is just using it to have yet another go at the manager.

Reina

New right back Carra Skrtel/Agger Aurelio

Mascherano Alonso (Barry if he goes)

Bentley/Kuyt Gerrard Babel

Torres

Then we have Arbeloa, Insua, Hyypia, Lucas, Plessis, Nemeth, another striker, Benayoun, etc to come into that.

There's lots of options there and assuming we bring in a couple more (maybe another striker) there's no reason we can't put up a better fight next season. If we lost Riise, Kewell, Pennant, Crouch, Alonso and Voronin and replaced them with a new right back (no idea beyond Alves, Rafinha and the Zenit full back), Barry, Bentley and maybe someone like Zarate or Ashley Young as well as promoting Inusa, Nemeth and Plessis then we'll do well.

It's more important that we are consistent next season.

For the people who think Bentley is slow:

The sprint parade top 10, commissioned by Nike and put together by Opta Sportsdata, is as follows (the first figure is to the ball, the second with it):

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd): 20.9mph -- 20.8mph

2. Andrew Johnson (Everton): 20.6 -- 20.7

3. Fernando Torres (Liverpool): 20.5 -- 20.6

4. Kenwyne Jones (Sunderland): 20.7 -- 20.2

5. Ashley Young (Aston Villa): 20.4 -- 20.3

6. Aaron Lennon (Tottenham): 20.6 -- 19.6

7. Cameron Jerome (Birmingham): 20.3 -- 20.1

8. Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea): 18.9 -- 21.2

9. Jermain Defoe (Portsmouth): 20.4 -- 19.2

10. David Bentley (Blackburn): 20.0 -- 19.8

Who is the fastest footballer in the Premier League - Ronaldo, Lennon or AJ? Find out here | the Daily Mail

That list is well interesting. Who new Kenwyne Jones was that quick? He's a proper athelete though apparently, one of those types who's good at all kinds of sports. Doesn't surprise me to learn that Bentley is quick either. Only in Rashid world are the likes of Bentley slow.
