Var should be able to overrule the ref. See this shit about "clear and obvious". Nonsense. They have multiple angle cams and slow mos. They should make the ruling regardless.

 

Edit: I know they CAN overrule the ref. But the right calls that upon reflection, aren't pens etc, they get off on the fact it was a tight call on real time. They should be 100% based on "was it the right call, yes or no"

EDIT: Actually wasn’t a pen. Maddison pushes the ball past Lascelles who’s leg is out. However, Maddison is still half a foot away from contact, so literally skips forward into Lascelles leg, then falls over.
