Shall we have a Commonwealth Games thread?

A 17 year old just won the 1500m. How is that possible??

He won the 5000m too, very convincingly. And an 18 year old Swede won the men's pole vault with a height only bettered by the legend that is Sergei Bubka.

The British sprinters have had an excellent championships, especially Dina Asher-Smith who got the gold medal hat-trick of 100m, 200m and 100m relay. Whether she can take on the Jamaicans and the Americans remains to be seen.

Ingebrigtsen, Asher Smith and Duplantis were the highlights in athletics for me. As well as the Israeli who pegged it thinking she was on the last lap.

That was awful and hilarious at the same time but did get me thinking how do they count the laps in those longer distances
