Some of the little mentions of it throughout the show were funny too by the commentators, but think it went on a bit much. Hopefully they drilled the shit out of it for one week and mention it less from now on.

There is an IC title match, Miz vs Ziggler, and Paige vs AJ for the womens but I think Sheamus is injured. Heard nothing on the tags for a few weeks. Didn't see the Usos this week I think either.

How much of the blandness of the wrestlers is down to how WWE puts them across and how much of it is down to the wrestlers themselves? When the programmes consist of endless recaps and constant plugging of the network and the app, it doesn't allow much time for character development. You can't expect anybody to give a damn when so much effort is made to get people to buy the product and not enough is done to make the product worth buying.

Just got done watching the Paul Heyman dvd on wweo.net and it's one of the best I've seen from WWE.

I've always thought he was brilliant and I'd heard a lot of the stories before about him, but to see things from his side of it all was much more interesting. At the end of the day he's just a kid who loves wrestling, and he's given so much to the industry. More than the vast vast majority of the people involved. And he's still giving, and he's still in love with it all. He is a phenomenal talent and I'm so glad he has the respect of so many people in WWE because some of those people play really convincing characters on TV.

Story doing the rounds that he slapped a support team member backstage. Rumour goes that someone asked to clean something at catering replied with isn't that Del Rio's job and when Del Rio confronted them they failed to apologise.

Just found out Lana real name C.J. Perry showed up in the 6th episode of the 1st series of Banshee. She is at the casino table with the former prison mate of Hood that comes to Banshee and later gets coke snorted off her tits in the toilets.

Heard the del rio flare up incident had something to do with the backstage crew having a dig at Rodriguez and the crew asking del rio to clean up himself while being a snarky bastard.

Just watched this week's smack down, and it was average really, just that I realized, big show has gotten much much fitter and slimmed down quite a bit. He looks like he can really run now, whereas in the past his so called runs were just taking larger steps.

My wife has stated watching Total Diva's on E. So annoying.

When I went to Florida last year and Total Divas was getting a series one replay. I watched a few, thought it was quite interesting at times especially the Wrestlemania match getting cut. That Eva Marie is a proper cunt (but pretty hot) as well.

She watches it so I will probably wind up catching every one...

Loved SummerSlam, loved Raw. Really strong shows. Everything that Ambrose does turns to gold and to be fair Rollins is more than a big part of that. The question now is who gets built up to take the title from Lesnar? I like Reigns but he's not ready yet and won't be come Wrestlemania 31 either.

The Reigns thing is annoying because it totally ignores storylines in the past which I can't stand. It is the only way they've been able to send them all in separate directions I suppose.

Didn't watch either show but heard good things. I expect Cena will get his win back at NOC. Or at least win by DQ or something setting up a HIAC match. Maybe could have Reigns vs Lesnar at NOC with Reigns coming close before HHH costs him setting up their match.

I hear they're planning on having NOC as a big show purely because those 6 month WWE network subscriptions will be coming to an end round about that time and they need people to renew. Speaking of the network, anyone know what the situation is with RAW and stuff? Do they show it live or on demand? I'd probably part with a fiver a month if I could watch them whenever, saves me messing about trying to find them on youtube when I do feel like watching the shows.

Ambrose is in the next WWE Studios film so he's being written off TV for a few months whilst he's filming. His return will be HOT if done properly. Can see it now.... A rare moment of vulnerability for Lesnar and Rollins is about to cash in only for Ambrose to return and brawl the shit out of him.

And apparently Rusev and Lana are a couple as well. Again, good work.

It's too long. And when it is an indifferent show (and there have been plenty) that three hours feels like ten. Considering 3 hours was supposed to enable to allow more talent to showcase they have still barely elevated anybody from midcard. I enjoyed Raw last night but I wonder how they'll find a way to fuck it up next.

Hopefully they'll build up to something awesome for Wrestlemania 31 but I am struggling to think of anyone who is going to be a credible match for Lesnar.

  • 3 weeks later...

Well, the last two Raws have been listless, weirdly booked shite. They built Cena back up too quickly instead of giving him a journey back to feeling able to get back into the ring with Lesnar. It was just Cena wins LOL again and very expensive to the credibility of Bray Wyatt. And then this week.... that segment at the beginning was so scripted. Very disappointing TV at the moment.

Where's the storytelling? Why not show Cena wrestling with doubts (like he did after losing to The Rock) and working his way back up? Why not plan a journey over a month instead of arriving straight at the end and yet the actual end is 3 weeks away. I am not one bit excited about Night of Champions and I genuinely think that me, you and Jules could book a more intelligent and better written show than we've had for the last two weeks. There's no imagination or vim or vigour whatsoever.

I recently found a youtube channel that has a shitload of RAW's from 1999 so I've been watching them chronologically and fuck it's been awesome so far. Ludicrous yes, but massively entertaining nonetheless.

Highlights so far (just approaching Wrestlemania) have been:

1.How hot pretty much every crowd was (also how even the midcard is over as fuck, Val Venis / New Age Outlaws were getting massive pops)

2.Vince playing one of the greatest heel roles ever.

3.Every character having some sort of feud going on which makes the matches feel like they mean more compared to today.

4.Genuinely funny angles like Mankind stealing the Rock's 100,000 reward (taken from Shane's trustfund) for distracting Austin at the Rumble or Vince with Briscoe and Patterson searching for Austin in Texas.

Low points have been:

1.Every match has a run in or screwy ending, like almost literally every one.

2.Ken Shamrock (I used to like him as a kid, but he's wooden as fuck watching back).

3.Not really a low point as such but The Rock's promos around this time aren't as good as I remembered and mainly consist of Catchphrases.

A lot of people who still watch now say that WWE needs to end the PG Era but watching back at 1999, a lot of the x rated stuff is some of the worst stuff on the shows. The reason that era was so good was the amazing characters and entertaining feuds and storylines. Some of the violence they could get away with in ring does add to it, but they could still make a much better show now even in PG.

1980's WWF > 1990's WWE
